Wilda Duprey Just a mom appreciation post.
Before being a mom, I never knew how much you did. I never knew how much you tried, or how much you may have cried.
Before being a mom myself, I never knew how little you gave yourself and how much you sacrificed for us, so that we could learn to live ourselves.
Before being a mom, I could have never known why you were so tough, so strict, or so pushy. I never knew it all had a purpose so that we would live and love with purpose.
Before being a mom, I never knew how much it all cost of you, or why you missed some things. I couldn’t imagine until now what missing it did to you, what guilt you must have felt amongst all other things.
Before being a mom, I never understood why our need to go to church meant so much to you. Then I became a mom and realized faith is all I need to get through.
Please don’t take this as blame, yet please let to any shame. For one thing you should never live with is that, in fact, you should live a life of fame.
Fame for what you did. Fame for what you didn’t even know you did. Fame for making it through and making it seem effortless. Fame for doing so much and for doing it all without me ever knowing it at all.
Thanking you because I never knew.
Love Lisandra ❤️
